10th Annual National Juried Cup Show at Kent

The 10th Annual National Juried Cup Show will be on display March 5-27 at the School of Art's Downtown Gallery in downtown KentOhio. The juror, Dean Adams, is currently an Adjunct Faculty in Ceramics/Foundations at Montana State University. Mr. Adams exhibits nationally and internationally and has participated in many artists/ residencies, including the Archie Bray Foundation, The Banff Center and the Watershed Center for Ceramics. He is also a founding board member for the LH project onOregon.
There will be a reception on Friday, March 5 from 5 until 7 PM.
The National Juried Cup Show, now an annual event, has been promoted nationally for eight years. It was originally sponsored in part by the Kent State UniversitySchool of Art, Ceramics Department. The department, which has been an internationally-recognized program for many years has been and continues to be an integral part of the cup show and helps to maintain its integrity.
"At six weeks prior to the opening we had already gotten well over 100 entries with more expected," said Anderson Turner, director of galleries. "We've received submissions from as far away as Alaska and Hawaii - it really is amazing!"


The Downtown Gallery, located at 141 East Main Street in downtown KentOhio, is open Wednesday through Friday 12-5 PM and Saturday 10-4 PM.
