WALK ALL OVER WATERLOO WEEKEND!
Yes, you heard it right! There is so much going on in the Waterloo Arts District on October 7th and 8th that we are declaring it a WAOW weekend. A gallery opening, music events, birthday parties and a special video art installation, entitled Video Fallout, in the old bank building at 15619 Waterloo will have the neighborhood jumpin'. “Easel Pictures (Edge of the World), paintings by Timothy Callaghan.” OPENING -Friday at 6pm. This exhibit features portraits of Waterloo Road merchants, artists and friends including Beachland Ballroom co-owner, Cindy Barber, Music Saves co-owner, Melanie Hershberger, owners of Blue Arrow records, Pete & Debbie Guylas, writer RA Washington, musicians and friends including Krista Tomorowitz, Lawrence Casewell with his wife Bridget Caswell and baby Nya. “Cinematic redux 2/Breakneck Gallery’s Grand Opening.” Reception from 6-9pm. There is a new art gallery in Lakewood. Breakneck Gallery, Located on the west side of Lakewood in the PopShop gallery's former spot, is having it's grand opening Saturday, October 8th from 6pm to 9pm. Breakneck Gallery is a new fine art location owned by Lakewood residents Sean and Kristen Burns. The gallery specializes in art that appeals to both the traditional gallery crowd as well as the art layman. The shop is divided into a fine art boutique, specializing in local made and produced art, music, movies, T-shirts, and books, and a traditional gallery space with will feature solo and theme group shows with new shows opening on a semi-monthly basis. Cinematic Redux 2 is a collection of contemporary artists from Cleveland and across the U.S. presenting their interpretation of posters for films of the horror genre.
