“Tectronics – New work from Paul Yanko.”  Opening Recepton 6-10. Proximity Gallery is back for their 3rd season with a renovated gallery and a new exhibition — Tectronics, featuring new work from SC painter and OH native Paul Yanko.  About: “Yanko creates his hard-edged, abstract paintings using an underpinning of collage from scraps of paper he has collected over the years. His systematic process allows these scraps to build up over time, creating fractured shapes and complex textures, and the final compositions are pleasantly bold and challenge the viewer to decipher literal depth from the illusion of form.”  And don’t miss the artist talk on with Paul Yanko on Sun 7/8 at 4pm.
