Loren Naji Studio Gallery presents two unique exhibitions. First, The Incredible Painting Machine and The Eyeball Magician is a two-man show featuring a painting machine and an artist who paints like a machine. Waste Management: A Gap in the System is a group exhibition raising awareness of Gap Clothing Company’s (and its affiliates like Old Navy and Banana Republic) wasteful policy regarding their plastic clothes hangers. It is estimated they have thrown away millions of plastic hangers.
“Pull.” Artist William Pope.L’s “Pull!” is coming to Cleveland, courtesy of SPACES. For 72 hours straight, the people of Cleveland will be called on to manually pull an 8-ton truck across the city, from Collinwood to the West Side Market. Are you game? Sign up for a shift today and join a 15-person team. Each shift covers approximately 2.5 miles, moving at a pace of just less than one mile per hour. Cleveland Museum of Art and MOCA 11150 East Blvd. and 11400 Euclid Ave. “MIX.” 5 to 9 p.m. In this special collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art, the CMA will display works by Jackson Pollock, with materials relating the Abstract Expressionist's work to MOCA's ongoing exhibit of Kate Gilmore's Body of Work. Gilmore will also give a performance of her "Hold Her Hand" project. Free trolley rides will shuttle between museums. Radio People will perform at MOCA, and DJs Charles McGaw and Darrick Grant will spin classic funk and soul in CMA's atrium. Advance tickets are $8, and day-of tickets are $10 apiece.
