Zygote Press, 1410 East 30th St., Cleveland 216.621.2900  www.zygotepress.com “They Came, They Saw, The Printed!”  Opening 6 – 8pm.  For 19 years Zygote Press has triumphantly represented the printmaking scene in Cleveland. Artists Bellamy Printz, Kelley Novak, Liz Maugans and Joe Sroka needed a space to make their print-based works, so in 1996, Zygote Press was born and has been active in the art community ever since.  Throughout the years hundreds of artists have come through the shop, leaving thousands of prints in their wake. These prints are now in the process of being cataloged and databased and many — but surely not all! — will appear in Zygote Press’ latest archive exhibition, triumphantly called They Came, They Saw, The Printed! The collection at Zygote is deep, a testament to the breadth of printmaking diversity.  (Image Above)

NOC POT-cha Kucha Night!
This NOC event will be graciously hosted by Allen Kradlak at the (heated!) AK Studios 604, North Rocky River Drive, Berea, OH 44017
Date: Thursday March 5th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
So, here what it’s all about:
“PechaKucha or Pecha Kucha (Japanese: ペチャク, IPA: [petɕa ku͍̥tɕa], chit-chat) is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). The format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, powers multiple-speaker events called PechaKucha Nights (PKNs).
“A typical PechaKucha Night includes 8 to 14 presentations. The presenters are usually from the design, architecture, photography, art and creative fields, but also from academia. Most presenters are design professionals showing their creative work, but presenters often speak about such topics as their travels, research projects, student projects, hobbies, collections, or other interests.”
Sounds like fun!  It will be great to get out of our studios and share what we are all up to. Will you be one of the 8 people to commit to presenting their PowerPoint presentations at this first event?!  Please email me if you are interested.    todd@toddleech.com
