Brick Ceramic + Design, 420 East 161st. Street Cleve.  “Christian Mickovic: PAiontings.  Opening 6-10pm.  BRICK will be featuring new paintings by Christian Mickovic hanging throughout our studio! Come tour our new space, see some amazing pieces, and hang out with us!

Gallery One Sixty, 16008 Waterloo Road, Cleveland.  “Photos of Dead Boys Stiv Bators.”  Opening 6-Midnight. The photos were taken by Dave Treat, a friend and neighbor of Dead Boys’ lead singer and provocateur Stiv Bators just as the band was coming together and getting ready to make their assault on the national punk scene with their album Young Loud and Snotty the following year.

Satellite Gallery 422 East 156th Street, Cleveland.  “Nuclear Fission.”  Opening 6-9pm.  With the power of Nuclear Fission, Satellite Gallery and a new crew of artstronauts will take off and cross paths with the FirstFriday Waterloo Art Walk. Come see the energy and power that is contained within the art of Ron Copeland, Maeve Doley, James Jenkins, Ali Lukacsy, Loren Naji and Bob Peck, Anastasia Pantsios, and Bob Walls!

Museum of Contemporary Art, 11400 Euclid Ave., Cleveland 216.421.8671, www.mocacleveland.org “Lecture:  Tony Lewis and Anthony Stepter..”  3 pm.  Spend your Saturday evening hearing an interesting talk on art @ MOCA. Featured artist Tony Lewis will be talking with special guest Anthony Stepter, a Chicago-based artist, community organizer and educator, and MOCA Cleveland’s Associate Curator, Rose Bouthillier, about Lewis’ first solo museum exhibition, Tony Lewis: free movement power nomenclature pressure weight. After the talk, Lewis will be around in the gallery if you want to discuss something further.

6.6 & 6.7 

Riverside Park:  Chagrin Falls.  “Art By The Falls.” Saturday 10-7  Sunday 11-5pm.  Featuring work by NOC artists.  What began 32 years ago with a few artists in Chagrin Falls has evolved into a two-day, juried fine arts and contemporary crafts festival featuring 120 artists from all over the country. There will be varied artwork ranging from paintings, drawings, photography, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture and textiles. Hosted by the Valley Art Center, Art by the Falls draws around 15,000 visitors, engaging them in art, music, dancing, local cuisine, shopping, galleries and parks.
