“2010 CERAMICS INVITATIONAL EXHIBITION” at Baldwin-Wallace College. Reception on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 5pm-8pm. Refreshments will be served. The reception is free and open to the public. “HOPE FOR THE PICTURE GUILD”, Del Rey Loven, director of the art school at the University of Akron and the curator of a show of Matt Dibble's recent works, describes his paintings as "High-risk aesthetic adventurism", which marry the texture and depth of painting with the linear precision of drawing. “F*SHO” Located at the Power House at Battery Park from 6pm-10pm. “New Paintings by Beth Nash & Kelly Rae.” Opening from 3-7pm. Exhibit runs through October 16th This exhibit features the exciting work of two painters new to River Gallery. The Rocky River Arts Festival will take place from 10-5pm that day on the sidewalks of Old Detroit Road, featuring art and crafts of local artists.
