“Six in Studio.” Opening Reception 5-9 pm. CWAL's "Six in Studio" project is designed to give 6 artists the opportunity to create work in a shared studio environment. This is a work-in-progress type show beginning with an open studio on Friday March 18. Come meet our six artists, plus juror Melinda Placko, see samples of their work and plans, and watch the art unfold! Cleveland Chamber Collective will perform at 8pm in the SmArtSpace area right outside our door. Enjoy the art plus a free concert. “Looking Inward.” Opening Reception 5-8pm. Friday March 11. Looking Inward is an exceptional group exhibition featuring the art of thirty well known Cleveland area artists. In addition to showing work by AAWR’s archived artists, other selectively invited prominent Greater Cleveland artists will display their art. These artists include Anna Arnold, Joseph Cintron, Dexter Davis, Donna Drozda, Marilyn Szalay, Walter Swyrydenko, and Robert Thurmer. For this show, each artist interpreted what “looking inward” means to him or her, as expressed through their art. In each artist’s distinct and unique style, art expresses the outlook of its creator.
