Boston Mills Artsfest.  Featuring the work of NOC’s Own Sandy Miller! http://bmbw.com/boston_mills_artfest.html for more info! Whoever thought to repurpose the Boston Mills-Brandywine ski lodge and slopescape in the Cuyahoga Valley, turning them into a venue for a fancy-schmantzy art show and sale, really deserves the Cleveland Arts Prize. The Boston Mills Artfest is 45 years old this year, and brings to the resort artists and crafters selling in practically every conceivable media: woodworking, glassblowing, photography, painting, sculpture, jewelry, pottery/ceramics, fabric and fashion accessories — you name it.

Bourbon, Steel, & Silver Dollars is one of the most exciting art events in Cleveland. It is a pop up art gallery that features works from multi-disciplined artists including sculpture, painting, photography, and drawing. The participants are a very select group of 20+ local and national artists filling up a 15,000 sq ft space. This year will also feature new work from past artists as well as some new genres of art such as tattooing and performance.  The event will be held at 3500 Crane Center, Streetsboro, OH 44241. The doors will open at 5:00 and close at 11:30pm. This is a free event, but an invitation ticket is needed to get into the show. Tickets can be procured before the event or at the door. The Cleveland Art Community lost a very important member last week.  Erica Weiss was a dear friend, artist and gallery owner who will always be remembered by her kindness and generosity towards all who knew her.  Her gallery, Juma, is a testament to her impeccable taste in artwork and style.  She will be greatly missed.  

 Memorial Service for Erica Weiss.  June 11 at 11:00 am.  The Fairmount Presbyterian Church 2757 Fairmount Blvd. Cleveland Heights at 11:00 am.  Reception at the church following service.
