Saturday August 7th Events!

Every first Saturday, thousands of visitors converge on the strip to see new art exhibits and add to their growing collections. With dozens of galleries and non-traditional exhibit spaces, it’s Columbus’ favorite night of the month to celebrate art. Though many shops are open earlier, the Gallery Hop officially starts at 4PM and runs to 10PM with restaurants and bars staying open considerably later.

Lakewood Arts fest: noon – 6PM…. pARTy: noon – 8PM Lakewood’s venerable art fest is back with more than 160 artists. Stroll along Detroit Ave., take in the arts community and see people that you know at this popular summer festival. Need a break from the sun? Join the pARTy under the tent at Belle Ave. to cool off in shade, have a bite to eat, and listen to music. Fest runs on Detroit Ave. between Andrews and Belle Aves. — Lakewood Featuring the work of many NOC members!

The Pop Shop Gallery / (art)ificial Gallery 17020 Madison Ave. Lakewood, OH Saturday 6:00pm - 8:30pm Cinematic Redux is a collection of contemporary works by artists across the U.S. presenting their interpretation of posters for classic films. The wide array of styles shows your favorite movies, like you have never seen them before. Cinematic Redux will open Saturday, August 7th 2010 in (art)ificial Gallery. An adult after party will be held at Mullen’s (located next to the gallery) for all guests of the artists and gallery.

The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve would like to remind everyone that this weekend all over Cleveland local artists will be creating fabulous works of art! At Westside Market, the Free Stamp, the Warehouse District, E. 4th Street, Progressive Fields, Edgewater Park, Wade Oval and Wendy Park at least two artists will be creating. Be sure to go see them work and support the AAWR.
