Erie Art Museum 411 State STreet, Erie, Pa 16501.  (NOC's Own)   "Kristen Cliffel:  Stories We Tell."  Opening 7-10 pm.  Ceramic sculptor Kristen Cliffel’s whimsical works explore “Domestic Mythologies.” She is fascinated by the complex relationships we develop with one another and our sense of “home” as we grow up in modern America. Facing ever-changing roles as daughter, sister, wife and mother, she creates sculptures that reference what we find comforting, familiar and desirable, while questioning the presumption of “happily ever after” and beyond.  (Image Above)

7019 Fullerton Ave.  “Rooms to Let.”  Opens at 5 pm. Rooms to Let: Cleveland returns to the Slavic Village neighborhood on Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th, 2015. Over 40 artists are creating a temporary art exhibition using vacant homes as their medium. The event, free and open to the public, will also include a neighborhood block party with live music, hands-on art activities and local food purveyors.
