The Cleveland Museum of Art takes over the Transformer Station for its fall shows, with solo shows by northeast Ohio artists Scott Olson and Jerry Birchfield, and a collaboration between Liz Roberts and Henry Ross called Death Knell.

For artists, different perspectives and outside opinions can be helpful in assessing how their work fits into the current concerns and trends in the art world. That’s what drives MOCA Cleveland’s visiting curator talks.  This week, they’ll be presenting José Carlos Diaz, who is chief curator at Pittsburgh’s Andy Warhol Museum. He was named one of the country’s 20 Most Influential Young Curators by Artsy and is working on the first museum solo exhibition by Iran’s mixed-media pop-influenced Farhad Moshiri.

Miller will be opening a show of her work at Praxis Fiber Workshop, where she reproduces packing materials as fiber sculptures. And stop in the Space: ROCK Gallery to see All That Glitters, which features photos by four photographers of the Ohio Burlesque Festival.

Cleveland Museum of Art, 11150 East Blvd, CLE 216.421.7350, www.clevelandart.org  “Hieronymous Bosch Explored in Film.”  8.4 7:30 pm Screening  8.6  1:30 pm Screening. Dutch painter Hieronymous Bosch lived in the 15th century but his fantastical, macabre work continues to fascinate people today. And although only a handful of his works survive, he influenced many painters in the century that followed.  The 2016 documentary film, The Curious World of Hieronymus Bosch, gives viewers a look at an exhibition called Visions of Genius that took place in his hometown Netherland, which assembled most of his extant work and attracted half a million visitors to the small town of Den Bosch.
