Friday October 8th Openings


Well the good news is that there is a Tremont Artwalk this week, the bad news is that Asterisk Gallery is closing it’s doors. Asterisk has showcased monthly exhibitions of regional and emerging artists since 2001. Dana L. Depew will have an exhibit of recent sculptural work and the final closing reception is today Oct 8. “The Doubting Thomas Tenth Anniversary Show.” Opening Reception 6-10pm. Doubting Thomas Gallery, 856 Jefferson Ave., Tremont

“The Drawing League.” Opening Reception 5- 7:30pm. This exhibit showcases the work of six core artists and others associated with Cincinnati-based non-profit Manifest’s Drawing Center Studio. The show focuses on the essential practice of life drawing and includes 100 figure drawings from observation and the age-old practice of working with live models. The exhibit includes the drawings of: Jason Franz, Robert Anderson, Daniel OʼConnor, Tim Parsley, Trevor Ponder, Emily Robinson, Brigid OʼKane, Aidan Schapera, and Isaiah Ratterman.
