Cleveland Institute of Art, 11141 East Blvd., CLE 800.223.4700, www.cia.edu  Portals_Thresholds.”  Opening 6-8PM.  Portals_Thresholds, opening at the Cleveland Institute of Art’s Reinberger Gallery, features work by Sara Ludy, Rachel Rossin and the artist collaborative Wickerham & Lomax.  Their work draws on painting, sculpture, video and virtual reality to explore ideas about science fiction, artifice and simulated reality. The show will also stretch its reach outside the gallery with new media artist Rafaël Rozendaal’s websites projected each day from 5-9pm on the digital media mesh, located on the western wall of CIA’s building, with a new website each week through June 15, when the exhibition closes.

Morgan Conservatory, 1754 E. 47th Street, CLE 216.361.9255, www.morganconservatory.org  “Paper Trails.”  Opening 6-9pm. The Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory will be hosting its 6th annual Paper Trails juried exhibition, opening this week, to showcase works that use paper in intriguing and boundary-pushing ways.
