River Gallery Info For February! From Mark Yasenchack.

From River Gallery:
1. The ceramic sculpture of Diane Bjel, opening February 7, 2010 runs thru March 25, 2010. See our blogspot for more information, http://www.rivergalleryarts.blogspot.com/.
2. Functional Ornament: Celebrating the Ceramic Culture of Northern Ohio
April 3-April 30, 2010
The exhibit will focus on the studio artists who call the area home and the alumni of Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland State University, Kent State University & Bowling Green University.

Interested artists should email 3-5 images, an artist's statement and corresponding pricelist (or provide a link to a website with this information) for gallery review. . Deadline is Feb. 14, 2010.

The exhibit opens on April 3, 2010, runs through May 1, 2010
and will coincide with the American Art Pottery Association Convention (April 21-25).
River Gallery will be on the tour route for the convention.

3. Exhibition Opportunity at River Gallery
Artists interested in exhbiting at River Gallery should email/ or mail a disc with 10 images of current, an artist's statement and corresponding pricelist (or provide a link to a website with this information) for gallery review. Ongoing deadline.
We are currently reviewing work and propasals for the second half of 2010 and the first half of 2011.
4. Quite possibly my favorite ceramic artists, I get all gusshy around her, is Terri Kern, she currently has an exhibit at the Canton Art Museum, http://www.cantonart.org/76
Does anyone want to carpool there?
5. And also the Toshiko Takaezu exhibit either comes down Feb 28 or May 29 depending on who you ask at the Cleveland Museum of Art. To get to her gallery you will walk thru the Harlem Renniassance exhibit which was surprising and beautiful too.
