10.10-12

10.10
1point618 Gallery 6421 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, 216.281.1618 www.1point618gallery.com  “Sid Rheuban at 90-Paintings by Sid Rheuban.”  Opening 6-8.
Bay Arts, 28795 Lake Road, Bay Village, OH  “Annual Juried Exhibition and Julie Cikra:  Migration.”  Opening 7-9pm. Two things going on at BAYarts Fri 10/10. First, view the opening of Julie Cikra’s Migration, a exhibition that examines “the gritty feel of a weathered city full of vitality and a resurgance of life.” It’s an examination of great cities and how they endure. Think if it as taking the pulse of today’s Cleveland — full of Rust Belt chic and on the up-and-up. Just look at her mixed media/painting Untitled [above] and it just feels Cleveland in all its industrial glory.  Secondly, BAYarts hosts their 52nd annual juried arts show. View artworks of all mediums and see who walks away with cash money rewards.  (Image Above.)
10.11

This party is truly one-of-a-kind; offerings include demos of handmade papermaking, bookbinding and letterpress in a unique studio space. There will even be room for participation.  Enjoy jazz, swing, blues Dixieland and Ragtime songs performed by the Syncopated Sin Swing Band, and get in an amazing auction featuring the work of over 50 artists.
Maria Neil Art Project, 15813 Waterloo Rd. Cleveland, www.marianeilartproject.org, 216.481.7722  “Art & Craft:  A Celebration of Art and Beer.”  Opening 6-10pm.
