Cleveland’s Darius Steward is just starting to catch the eye of Cleveland art lovers. He got his undergraduate degree at the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2008, then spent two years getting his MFA at the University of Delaware before coming back here.

That same night, Bonfoey will be having an opening reception for their new exhibition Gleanings, featuring works by Ron Barron. Some of us look around and bemoan the litter that despoils our streets, gutters, roadsides and parks. Artist Ron Barron looks around and sees the elements for creativity. He began colleting trash from the streets of New York in 2010 and arranging it on a scanner bed to produce his abstract compositions. He followed that up with a similar transformation of junk scooped up from Long Island and Lake Erie.
