Heights Art Gallery, 2175 Lee Road  Cleveland Hts., 216.371.3457 www.heightsarts.org  “At Table:  Cleveland Culinaria.”  Opening 6-9pm.  This is an exciting Event that has been in the works for months and months!  Our town KNOWS good food, thanks to the wealth of highly creative culinary artists who live in Northeast Ohio. On Friday, March 4, come see what happens when 27 visual artists partner up with some of Cleveland’s most creative culinary innovators to transform the Heights Arts gallery into five unique, themed installations that speak to the art of food through the materials we use to eat and drink.  Featuring the work of NOC’s own Lynne Lofton, Sandy miller, Eva Kwong, Lauren Herzak-Bauman, Andrea LeBlond, Bill brouillard, Susan Gallagher, Sharon Grossman and Judith Salomon! The Nicholson B. White Gallery at St. Paul’s Church, 2747 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Heights.  “Shaping Color:  Paper and Clay.”  Opening 5-7pm.  Featuring NOC’s own Andrea LeBlond!  

Brick Ceramic + Design, 420 East 161st. Street Cleve. www.brickceramics.com “Brick Gallery Grand Opening!”  6:45-10pm.  Join us for the grand opening of our new gallery space! The work featured is a display of all the projects BRICK has been working on as well as samples of our glazes. Coinciding with this event is the Grand Opening of Six Shooter Coffee Located in the same building as our gallery and using the cups we made in our studio! Come out at 6:45pm for the big reveal! 

Also going on this evening if you are in the neighborhood is Walk All Over Waterloo!

Maria Neil Art Project, 15813 Waterloo Rd. Cleveland, www.marianeilartproject.org, 216.481.7722  “Darius Steward-Pressure.”  Opening 5-10pm. Cleveland’s Darius Steward is just starting to catch the eye of Cleveland art lovers. He got his undergraduate degree at the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2008, then spent two years getting his MFA at the University of Delaware before coming back here. 

Bonfoey Gallery, 1710 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, 216.621.0178, www.bonfoey.com  “CAN Journal Spring Launch Party.”  Opening 5-8pm. That same night, Bonfoey will be having an opening reception for their new exhibition Gleanings, featuring works by Ron Barron. Some of us look around and bemoan the litter that despoils our streets, gutters, roadsides and parks. Artist Ron Barron looks around and sees the elements for creativity. He began colleting trash from the streets of New York in 2010 and arranging it on a scanner bed to produce his abstract compositions. He followed that up with a similar transformation of junk scooped up from Long Island and Lake Erie.

Lakeland Community College 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, OH 44094, 440.525.7029    “From Woman IX.”  Opening Sunday  3:30-5pm.  34 local and regional women artists from Northeast and Central Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania will exhibit 148 works created in a variety of media.  Featuring the work of NOC’s own Theresa Yondo!
